This is the original Toyota logo. Used from 1958 until 1990 when the current logo replaced it.

This logo was used sparingly, normally seen only on the vehicle's hubcaps. The name "Toyota" would typically be type-set at all other badge locations.

The logo also appeared in the gauge cluster and the front grille of the Toyota Hilux (known only as the "Toyota Pickup" in the US).

This logo is inactive; it was replaced by the current elliptical Toyota logo in 1990.
