Universidad César Vallejo (UCV) is a private university founded in Peru November 12, 1991 by Engineer César Acuña Peralta at Trujillo, capital of the La Libertad Region.
The University takes its name from the famous Peruvian poet Cesar Vallejo and became operational on April 1, 1992.
Its headquarters are in Trujillo and has subsidiaries with offices in Chiclayo, Piura, Chimbote, Lima and Tarapoto.
The UCV includes a university consortium, together with the Universidad Señor de Sipán (USS) and the Universidad Autónoma del Perú (AU), the Consorcio USS-UCV-UA.
