The Carbon Planet 'spectrum' is derived from the spectrographic signature of a carbon atom.

An element's particular spectrum is the relative intensity of the various frequencies of electromagnetic radiation, that our eyes interpret as colours, that the target element emits when heated. The resulting band of colours and gaps is unique for each element and is called the 'spectrographic signature'.
